Courtside is a free, ad-free WNBA statistics app published by an independent fan developer. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: it collects nothing.
Nothing. Courtside does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Specifically, the app:
To keep the statistics current, the app fetches a single public data file (WNBA standings, scores and player stats) over a secure HTTPS connection when it launches. That request sends no personal information — it includes no account, identifier, or device data, and carries nothing about you; it only asks for the latest statistics file.
As with any request to any website, the server hosting the file receives the standard technical information a web request includes (such as your device's IP address). We do not use this to identify, profile, or track you, and we build no profile of our users. If the device is offline, the app falls back to the statistics bundled inside it and still works. No data about you ever leaves your device.
Courtside uses internet access to fetch the statistics file described above. It requests no other permissions (no location, contacts, camera, or storage).
None. Courtside collects no personal data, so there is nothing to share. The statistics file is hosted on GitHub Pages; retrieving it is subject to that host's standard server logging, but the request carries no information about you beyond an ordinary web request.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13, and is safe for all ages in that respect.
The statistics shown in the app are derived from publicly available WNBA game data and are bundled into the app when it is built. No user data is involved in producing them.
